We were all very shocked and saddened recently when Zack was found dead in the field shelter after morning feeds. It seemed that he ate his breakfast and laid down and passed away.
He showed no signs of any ailments or illness. Zack was a very quiet Donkey who came to the Sanctuary in 2017. He was of an unknown age as he had no passport, but we suspect that he was in his mid-twenties.
He went out doing Christmas visits to Garden Centres with Alfie, with whom he came to the Sanctuary.
He was a well-sponsored donkey and gave many people a lot of love and pleasure.
A very sad farewell to Zack.
