During the past four months, we seem to have had more than our share of unfortunate, sad events at Donkey Heaven.
Our latest donkey passing away has been very hard for all to face. Felix very suddenly became very ill, and we had no option but to put him to sleep.
He was such a canny gentle little soul, never causing any problem and the friendliest and sweetest little donkey you could ever know.
He and his soul mate Freda, who died a couple of years back did Christmas visits, visits to Care Homes, Fetes and other public appearance all to promote the Sanctuary.
They came to us from Glasgow many years ago and were some of the ‘founder’ residents. We know that everyone who visited will miss him greatly and we thank all his Adoptees for their support of him over his many years.
We will miss him everyday and will never forget Felix. RIP
