Frequently Asked Questions

Adoptions

Each certificate is personalised to the recipient’s name and therefore takes time to print. We aim to get your order to you ASAP, but please allow at least 14 workings days.

Apologies, currently we are just offering adoptions within the UK.

If you have made a generic donation, we will apply the funds to the care of the animals if you have donated for a specific item such as hay, straw, pellets or a farrier treatment we will use the funds to pay for those items.

Currently, we have over 115 Donkeys and Mules for whom we care.

Your money goes towards their care which is why it is so much appreciated. We use the funds for feed, bedding, vet treatments, farriers, shelters, and so much more.

We use 2nd class delivery for postage. We are conscious of keeping costs our admin cost to a bare minimum.

Visiting

We are open during March to January. Our public visiting hours are between 1pm & 4pm on Saturdays during those months.

We love all animals here. We would ask that you keep your dog on a leash at all times and in the unfortunate instance that your dog gets too excited around the animals we would ask that you place them in your vehicle during your visit.

We currently operate under a booking system. Tickets can be purchased through the ‘Plan Your Visit’ section of the website.

Of course, we allow you to feed the animals. You get a free scoop of donkey nuts with your ticket and additional scoops can be purchased on-site. We do not advise you to hand-feed the animals as they can occasionally nip. Please always use the scoops provided as we will not be held responsible should you get a little nip.

We allow you to bring carrots but request that you do not feed the animals as it causes stress to the others not getting any.

Yes, further information on this can be provided by emailing [email protected].

You will receive a confirmation that your payment has gone through.

If you do not receive the confirmation, please contact us so that we can check the progress of your order.
